I was looking for some web-portal for arranging conferences. For now, the winner is CiviCRM - http://civicrm.org/.

Basic features required:
- Showing event details
- Direction maps
- Information for the audience
- Inviting audience
- Confirming attendance
- Payment Details
- Self-payment
- Receipt printing
- Managing inventories
- Delegating Administrators for each events
Initially I thought, there will not be more choices in this category of software, which proved to be wrong.
Options analyzed:
Drupal Conference Organizing Distribution:
- Integration with Drupal
- Ready to use
- No/Minimal coding required
- Fits most of my needs
- Only compatible with Drupal 6.x
- Right now in Beta mode (not a Production - Stable - release)
- Payment Gateway Integration seems to be missing
- The road-map seems to be pretty dry; has not been able to keep pace with Drupal versions
- No Demo available

- Its not basically a Conference Management Software, chances of molding it to the requirements

- Can I have more than 1 organizers? May be not.
- The road-map seems to be pretty dry; has not been able to keep pace with Drupal versions

- It has more than what I want, in fact, Event management is just one optional feature in it
- I heard that it requires lot of configuration to work with exiting Drupal site or even as standalone which makes it - Not Ready To Use
